McCain, D. V. (2005)

the writer should has this book :McCain, D. V. (2005). Evaluation Basics. Arlington, VA: ASTD Press (ISBN-10: 1562863738)
Please write five paragraphs for the follow questions
on AARs

3. Read chapter 8 in your book: Evaluation Biases and Communicating the Results.

Evaluation bias is something every evaluator needs to be aware of, but is is especially important if you are evaluating in your own organization where your bias’ may be even stronger than in an organization with which you are unfamiliar.

How you communicate the results of your evaulation is arguably the most important step in an evaluation. It does not matter how good of a job you did in gathering and analyzing your data, if you can not communicate it effectively and move people (or get commitment) to action. In my experience managing evaluators in several organizations, communicating is the place where most evaluators fall short; largely because they do not give communicating the results the attention it deserves.

4. Read chapter 9 in your book: A Final Thought.

Six short pages that talk about the link between design and evaluation, demonstrating value to your clients/supervisors/administration, the role individual and organizational readiness plays in evaluation.
Read the article on After-Action Review. After-Action Review (AAR) is a formative and summative evaluation method pioneered by the U.S. Army, with potential use for our classes and workplace projects.
Please watch:

Forum Discussion (Can be on anything related to the readings or topic. Here are some questions to get the discussion started.)

What are your reactions and thoughts after reading the AAR article?
Have you ever used an AAR? If so, describe the situation, process, and outcome.
How do you think you might use an AAR in your work environment? Why/why isn’t it an effective evaluation for your work environment?
share your reflections and insights from the semester (your role as a learner generally, in this class specifically, or the knowledge/skills of evaluation from the semester).
What are your bias challenges as an evaluator? How can you overcome them/minimize the bias?
What do you think are your greatest strengths/weaknesses regarding communicating the results of an evaluation (written or in person)? How can you develop or minimize the weakness? What can you do to maximize/share your strength?
Where are your opportunities and/or barriers to demonstrate value to your department/organization via evaluation? How can you maximize the opportunities and minimize/eliminate the barriers?
