Focus on Pulse Width Modulation for power conversion.
Specifically:
1. General applications that this technology is used for
2. Interface of the digital signal to the power device (MOSFET)
3. Carrier signal that is used to switch the MOSFET – it’s triangular.
And now i want to write the Main Project for it , and am going to attach some files of how to write the project and what is the Technic and structure of writing the project .
Also my Supervisor he want me to use a program called Multisim , to do the calculations and the result for the project .
Also you did for me the pilot study report about this subject so i will attach it later + i will attach files of how to write this main project and the structure you should use and the way of organize it .
This feedback of my supervisor for the pilot report please read it carefully so you will not make same mistake :
Introduction/Overview 10%: 6.7
Abstract is reasonably clear, although power converters are also defined as devices which change the frequency as well as AC/DC and DC/AC conversion.
“electrical energy which can be naturally generated has to be well managed.” How is electrical energy naturally generated?
“Modern power converters consist of five sections.” A block diagram would be useful to see the interconnection of the 5 sections. Is it not initially obvious why an ADC is required.
Although the flow could be better the introduction is a reasonable overview of the technology.
“The figure below shows the flow of events in this design” – this is the details of one implementation. As you have not introduced terms such as “triangular wave” at this stage it is not useful.
Technical 50%: 6.4
Chapter 2: “A single-phase buck converter” – useful to have a block diagram to understand the whole system and interconnection.
Chapter 3: duty cycles: this would be a useful place to discuss the concept of a switching carrier and particularly a triangular carrier.
Chapter 4: FPGA – perhaps too much general information on FGPA that is not required.
p.23 compliation date states 2008? Who did this work?
Chapter 5 Expected simulation results: is this your work? If it is it would have better to expand and show us that the PWM works. Figure 20: what is the test circuit? What is channel 1,2 and 4? This experimental setup needed explaining in detail.
Presentation and clarity of writing (figures/ref/ structure)10%: 6.3
Flow could be better – it currently feels like it jumps around and is not one continuous piece of work.
Spelling, punctuation, grammar 10%: 6.3
“The technological side of this development is experiencing a faster rate of change in
comparison to its colleagues” . which colleagues? Be careful to use scientific language.
Conclusions and future 10%: 6
What will the challenges be in the project? How will multisim and Matlab be used to simulate HDL code and mosfets? There is no Gantt chart to plan progress.

Please i need results and simulations and challenges you haven’t mentioned them in the pilot study so please please do some research for the main project .
