Does this social media provide a competitive advantage in the business’ markets?

Project 2 Minor New Economy Social Media Recommendation BriefContent: My Custom Tailor (http://mycustomtailor.com) is an example of a type of business traditionally thought of as a brick and mortar, face-to-face company. Few people think of buying custom made clothes sight unseen over the Internet. Yet, My Custom Tailor does a large business worldwide.Use the business you used for minor project 1. Be sure there is not a plethora of e-commerce firms in the company’s background. Most small businesses are not involved in any aspect of the e-commerce (social media) because they either don’t understand what it can do for their business, or they don’t have the time to try to understand and engage the social media form.Other small businesses are wrestling with the dilemma of (1) what social media to use, and (2) finding the time to use it. Consequently, most do not do anything while their competitors may be using Facebook, Twitter, etc., instead of a more traditional website.Format: Write a recommendation brief to the owner, managers, or senior leadership of the company that you chose that explains in detail from your research and analysis why and how the firm might want to use a specific social media format as described in Chapter 11 of the text. You should:Consider the global environment and how a global footprint for the firm might help it continue to grow or re-grow in the near future.
Write this with the understanding that if the senior executives accept your position, you might be in the running for a senior VP of Marketing in the firm and you may be held accountable for implementing the ideas you present in your recommendation brief.
The recommendation brief should be a minimum of 12 pages (does not include the references or bibliography, or any appendix materials) in length and presented in a professional and polished-looking formatted document with visuals, photos, graphs, tables, charts, etc., where appropriate.
You need to invest the time to format this as a professionally-prepared and visually-appealing proposal. It is strongly recommended that you use graphs, charts, diagrams, photos, and other visual images which best communicate the content of this project.
Each of these projects is for you to formally present, or for presentation to CEOs, CFOs, and COOs who dont typically take a lot of time to read long narratives. They want the facts and to comprehend the document in the most efficient and effective manner possible.
Use appropriate research data/information you have already conducted for minor project 1 where it may be applicable in minor project 2. You will now engage in more in-depth research regarding both the business and the social media format you choose to recommend to bring the two together.
Your recommendation brief should include the following content elements:1. Cover Page2. Table of Contents (Using Word TOC Command)3. Executive Summary4. IntroductionCompany History, Purpose, Mission, VisionBrief Product/Service Product/Service Goals & Strategic Objectives5. Specific Social Media Recommendation:Which social media format are you recommending?6. Social Media Recommendation Analysis:The research, reasoning, logic, and specific benefits of using the social media format you selected for the business, with support for your decision based on your research (why does the business need this one the most?)Include an analysis regarding the appropriateness of the social media format you selected over the other choices you had available.7. Social Media Customer Analysis:What are the demographics, psychographics, etc., or other distinguishing characteristics that suit your social media recommendation to this business’ customers?8. Competitive Analysis: 9. Risks:Are there any risks or downsides to implementing your social media recommendation?10. Social Media Implementation Strategy: Social media content policy (what are the rules that employees have to play by)Social media content procedures (who creates content; who approves content?)Customer privacy strategy Security strategy & procedures (how do you avoid putting the business/customers at risk?)11. Social Media Team Strategies Roles & responsibilities (who should do what? who’s got the time?)Key personnel training (who is tech savvy?) Action plan (who, what, when, where, how, and why) What are the steps involved in getting started and maintaining the social media platform?12. Measuring the Outcomes How will you know if the social media is working? effective? How will you measure the effectiveness?Social media budget [for 12 months by month]13. References/Bibliography14. Appendices (if any)
