You are to present a historical analysis of law enforcement in the United States. You are to also discuss the various types of police agencies. In addition, you are to demonstrate an understanding of the significance of the role of federal law enforcement versus that of state law enforcement. Also, you are to discuss the various functions of policing. You are to discuss the various Supreme Court cases on police use of force as it relates the Fourth Amendment, such as Graham v. Conner, Tennessee v. Garner, Terry v. Ohio, Weeks v. U.S. Carroll v. United States. Please note: Students, you are to adhere to the instruction indicated on the course syllabus pertaining to discussions and participation (i.e., substantively responding (at least 400 words) to the discussion topic).
