How do you rebuild USA as a political community? Which branch do you resurrect first? Do you remake all three original branches? Do you add to them?

Topic: Political Armageddon has descended on the USA. Political invaders have decimated the legislature (Congress), destroyed the executive (Presidency/Executive Departments/Cabinet), and eliminated the judiciary (Supreme Court as well as lower courts). You are among roughly two dozen others who were fortunate enough to survive this onslaught. Where do you go from here? Do you keep just one or two of the branches? In other words, what will this new USA look like? Will there be a constitution? Will there be a bill of rights? Who will lead it? What kinds of political values, ideals, concepts, and institutions are to be a part of this new USA? Make a case as to how and why your vision of USA 2.0 is a good one. In short, what will make USA a well-functioning political community, according to YOU? Citations: – Second Treatise of Government: 2 cites minimum – External/outside sources: 2 cites minimum (1 cite from EACH external source; OR BOTH cites from ONE SOURCE) Provide an APSA-formatted Works Cited sheet (EITHER via e-mail prior to your oral presentation OR in hard-copy form distributed to Prof. the day of your oral presentation. Feel free to exceed the minimum requirements. You will IN NO WAY be penalized for exceeding the minimum. That said, you will IN NO WAY be penalized for sticking to the minimum. 7. What are the variables?
8. Methodology: What was used? How was the study carried out? (Surveys, experiments, interviews, etc.) Level of evidence?
9. Was it a quantitative or qualitative study?
10. Is it an exploratory, descriptive or explanatory type of study?
We begin exploring something new with exploratory research. Then, we conduct descriptive research to increase our knowledge of it. Lastly, we need to explain it by using explanatory research.
An exploratory design is conducted about a research problem when there are few or no earlier studies to refer to. The focus is on gaining insights and familiarity for later investigation or undertaken when problems are in a preliminary stage of investigation.
Descriptive research is used to describe characteristics of a population or phenomenon being studied. It does not answer questions about how/when/why the characteristics occurred.
Explanatory research is defined as an attempt to connect ideas to understand cause and effect, meaning researchers want to explain what is going on. (Answers the WHY question)
11. Were the visuals (graphs and charts) easy to read and understand?
12. Did the author draw the appropriate conclusions from the study?
13. What was the major finding of the study?14. Were there limitations to the study? If so, what were they?
15. Did the author critique their own study and perhaps provide avenues for further study?
