Your paper should consist of Four paragraphs which will support how you choose to answer the question.
PARAGRAPH I: INTRODUCTION AND THESIS STATEMENT
Be sure to include background information (3-5 sentences) and place your thesis at the end of your introductory paragraph. Your thesis should be the last sentence of this paragraph.
PARAGRAPH II: BODY PARAGRAPH.
Make sure you include effective topic/transition sentences. Your body paragraphs will provide evidence and analysis to support you thesis statement. You must use evidence/examples/quotations from The Apology of Socrates. You only need ONE quotation per body paragraph.
-Introduce or lead into your quotation
-State the quotation
-Follow through with your analysis.
PARAGRAPH III: BODY PARAGRAPH
Please follow same format as above.
CONCLUSION: DO NOT BRING UP NEW TOPICS OR IDEAS IN YOUR LAST PARAGRAPH!
-Briefly restate your point so the reader knows that you have successfully proven your thesis. Lastly, consider your example of a contemporary gadfly. Why would this person fit the definition of a Gadfly? Does this person reflect some of the same ideas you may have about Socrates? Explain.
