Please include in your writing your own definition of Integrity and how (or whether) lying implies the lack of Integrity.
Question from the book:
6. The term "white lie" suggests that, in some situations, lying may be justified. Depending on the context, some person may attempt to justify lies when they feel that the negative consequence of telling the truth outweigh the virtue honoring the truth. For some people, however, lies are always unacceptable; to them, "white lie" is an oxymoron, a contradiction in terms that create slippery slopes. Moving beyond the personal to political arena, is a government ever justified in withholding information that directly impacts its citizens. Recently, this issue has been debated in relations to national security and the war on terrorism. In an essay, take a stand on this issue; support you position with evidence from history and current events (literature suggestion: Crawford’s "Lies")
