There is current literature on this but I’d like to create a study to apply this to Principals and teachers. Specifically– how does abusive supervision done by principals affect teacher performance? In this section, you will conduct a review of the theoretical and research literature that provides support for your research question. Theoretical research literature will address both theory related to methods and theory related to content. The introduction should motivate the study.The reader should understand why the problem should be researched and why the study represents a contribution to existing knowledge.
The literature review will provide the foundation that leads you to the third section of your project, which will be to describe your proposed research and how you would propose to carry out a study or field test of the project.Chapter 35: Methodology, Expected Findings and Results and Discussion
In these sections, you will include the methodology for your proposed study and as well as the expected results and a discussion of the results.
The methods section includes separate descriptions of the sample, target population, inclusion/exclusion criteria, recruitment strategy, ethical considerations, procedure, instrument, materials, and analysis. Please template that I provide. The individuals, dyads and groups that are participating in the study must be described in a way that will allow for another scientist to replicate or reproduce the activities of the study. This should be presented in a way that will help him or her to follow the trail that leads to the expected results. A discussion of how the sample was formed is needed for replicability and understanding your study.
A description of your instruments, including all surveys, tests, questionnaires, experimental procedures, clinical interventions, inventories, open-ended interview guides, and other tools used to provide data, should appear in the materials subsection. Evidence of reliability and validity should be presented. Since reliability is a property of scores from a specific use of a specific instrument for a specific population, you should provide reliability estimates based on your data.
The design of the study, whether it is a study of narratives, a survey, a controlled experiment, or some other type of research, is conveyed in the procedures subsection. It is here that the activities of the researcher are described, such as what was said to the participants, how groups were formed, what control mechanisms were employed, et cetera.
