Your paper has 4 parts: A brief overview of the policy – what issues or problems it was responding to, what it does, what it was intended to accomplish, and who it targets. You should also discuss the development of the social policy in terms of why it was developed (If there are specific political influences or critical contextual drivers discuss them), A discussion of the ideas and values that underpin this social policy (you may make reference to key discourses or ideologies); An analysis of the policy in light of its stated intent. Is your policy likely to do what it intended to? If not, why? If so, how well?; An analysis of your policy in regard to its likely implications for the wellbeing of your chosen group.
