After reading Immanuel Kant’s The Categorical Imperative in Cahn pp.98 write a 2-3 page paper in which you a) introduce and summarize Kant’s ethical system and b) interact critically with his ideas by answering one or more of the following questions:
Strong essays will contain specific references to the text and explain the following terminology: Autonomy, Duty, Good Will and Categorical Imperative.
Note: This is a challenging text to understand. It may be wise to read Onora Oneill’s essay on Kant in Cahn pp. 110 before reading the primary text.
