Each student must select a law (approved by the instructor, see at the very bottom) listed in chapters 2 and 3 of your textbook. The paper should be 5 to 8 pages in length (not including title page or reference page). The paper should be double-spaced, 12 point font, with 1-inch margins. Paper should be written in APA format. This paper is to be written from the viewpoint of an HR professional. In other words, you are the HR manager dealing with an issue relating to your chosen law. Your paper should include the following: Definition and explanation of the law (spend a short amount of time on this) A hypothetical case of misconduct or policy violations in the workplace regarding this law Recommend the proper course of action/remedy for the employee Recommend any actions to be taken by the organization to minimize the risk, stop future violations and/or avoid litigation.
