The paper length should be 6 double spaced pages excluding the reference page with 2-3 sources. The paper will be read by master level graduate students and purpose is to articulate the topic or perspective that contributes to the body of knowledge that is not already evident. Original thought is encouraged and will be rewarded, even if it comes at the expense of profuse citation of others works. This paper is written for a global health course. Paragraph 1: Introduce and summarize the topic and make the last sentence of the paragraph what the take is on the topic, or what unique angle is presented in the paper about the topic. Paragraphs 2 through 5 or so: give some summary and details of the topic that might interest an audience composed of master level graduate students. Write the paper so that they can understand it. Dont use big words or big language thats going to lose them. If reading the paper in front of my classmates, they would be interested the material. Phrase the paragraphs in such a way that makes it more interesting, more readable, or easy to understand or something. It doesnt matter how great the point is if nobody listens to what is said or written. Paragraphs 6 through 10 or so: Give your take on and what you think about the topic. GIVE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE TOPIC. Dont just summarize the references there has to be some value added that the paper provides, and that value-added can be your thoughts or opinion on the topic, particularly if you can relate it to course concepts in global health. Paragraph 11 (or so): Write a concluding paragraph. Attached is a good article as a reference.
