The essay should be a minimum of three (4) pages. 5 would be better. There will be large point reductions for any essay less than three (4) pages.
There should not be any need to cite. The purpose of the essays is to develop your own thought process. Therefore, everything you put down should be either your own thoughts or a very brief summary (in your own words) of someone else’s words (only if needed to set up or clarify your own presentation).
Use “I” (capitalized, please!). After all, the essay reflects your own ideas.
1. Define “happiness” and doing no harm by doing the correct action. Explain that an action can be a “right” action or a “wrong” action, but both can be correct actions (think of Kant and Mill).
Remember that this is an essay, so do not post the points as numbered “bullets.” Each of the three questions should transition into the next.
